At The Yarn Shop, we host volunteers who create handmade hats, mittens, sweaters for The Salvation Army and Charlotte'sTemporary Homeless Shelter. These handmade garments provide warmth and comfort to people who have lost their homes, fled abusive relationships, or are being cared for in hospices, shelters, hospitals, and nursing homes.
While the Yarn Shop always welcomes knitters who just want to hang out and knit, our Chat Room hours offer a great chance to meet new friends and share your love of fiber art with like-minded souls.
